When will people stop getting off on watching other people?  When will people stop being nosey and wanting to know everything that is going on?  The fact is that people will always be people and they will always be nosey.  

The Sherwood Inn sounds like a nice place to stay.  Too bad there are a bunch of creeps working there.  I am not into being video tapped or watched by a bunch of strangers while having sex.  I would not mind being my own videographer and photographer during sex but having someone do it for me especially if I was unaware is just wrong. 

Our privacy is "protected" but let us face the facts any creep with a camera can snap a shot of your ass if they see fit.  We all need to actively participate in our own protection of our privacy or it will be lost. 

I find it difficult to believe that this type of porn harms anyone more so than any other type of pornography?  An 18 year old is legal to perform in porn and should be allowed to act like a 12 year old if he/she sees fit.  I feel better knowing that some pedophile is masturbating to an 18 year old rather than an actual 12 year old.  I also feel better knowing that a pedophile is getting his "fix" for child porn rather than prowling through the neighborhood for young boys and girls.

Does this type of porn lead a pedophile to demand more realistic exposure which could potentially lead to actual child porn or abuse?  That is the difficult question here, one in which I can not answer.  Is there any evidence that says fake child porn leads to child abuse or real child porn?  I feel as though many pedophiles might be satisfied with fake child porn and many would never consider child abuse or real child porn.  I think it takes an extremely sick minded individual to indulge in child porn and the sexual abuse of a young child.  I do not think that fake child porn increases the number of these extremely sick minded people.  I feel as though the true pedophiles are never satisfied with their thirst for young children.  I also feel that fake child porn can possibly quench the thirst of many pedophiles therefore decreasing child porn and the sexual abuse of children.

The fact that there is no evidence that states whether or not the viewing of fake child porn increasing real child porn and/or sexual abuse of children leads me to believe that it should be legal.  Just like any other pornography fake child porn needs to have its limits. I find the concept of fake child porn to be repulsive and disgusting but at the same time I can not say that it should be illegal.  There are a lot of disgusting things in this world and fake child porn does not even make the top 100 in my eyes.  

Let us worry more about parenting skills and ensuring the safety of our children rather than picking apart the porn industry.  I feel as though proper parenting can create normal children thus eliminating pedophiles.  What about the children whose parents are pedophiles?  The United States Education system needs to do a better job of teaching children what is inappropriate.  When little Sally gets touched by her father she needs to have an understanding through education that it is inappropriate and she needs to tell someone.  Easier said than done I know, but it is certainly a start.  How does a child learn that their father’s behavior is wrong and inappropriate?  Abuse can go on for several years before a child speaks out against their parent or guardian.  

The future remains to be seen but one thing is certain, it is up to you and I to raise the next generation of American children.  I for one plan on doing a great job.  I for one plan on educating my children about all the dangers this world have absorbed.  For too long our children have been uneducated about simple things.  Teaching children that when their mommy touches them inappropriately is certainly a difficult task but I am confident that it can and will be done. 

Why do we as a society insist on finding someone else to blame for our own problems, mistakes, failures, ECT?  Michael Jackson did nothing wrong, he simply opened his arms, house, wallet, and for all I know his pants to help children.  At least in his eyes he was helping.  The real question is why in the world would you as a parent; drop your child off at the Never Land Ranch, knowing full well that your child was in the hands of a creepy man.  I personally think Michael Jackson is an amazing person, artist, singer, performer, icon, but there is no way in hell that I would ever let him baby-sit my children.

Senator Blanche Lincoln said it best, "Parents are the first line of defense . . . “Parents are the ones to blame.  Parents are supposed to lead, guide, protect, teach, and all the other good things my parents did for me.  Parents need to do a better job of protecting their children from online dangers.  Senator Blanche has the family computer in the family room and her two young boys are not allowed to use the internet without her or her husband’s presence.  

Now do not get me wrong here, I understand that all families do not have the opportunity or the time to ensure that their children are not on the internet without supervision.  Senator Blanche also said "The parents can not do it alone".  I totally agree with Senator Lincoln.  She makes an excellent point.  Parents need assistance in protecting their children.  There are computers in schools that may not have absolute supervision.  There are parents who have a babysitter who does not watch the children properly.  There are computers at friend’s houses whose parents could care less what their children do on the internet.  

This is why the government needs to enforce laws that make it mandatory for computer companies to install filtering software with every single new computer.  The V chip is only one option there needs to be many more.  I pray that by the time I am a parent that computer companies will finally be forced to add protection software to their computers.  I plan on being the kind of parent that does his own protecting of his children. 

I think it is fantastic that these two guys were caring enough to realize that people struggling with porn need help just as badly as a recovering alcoholic.  I do not believe that porn will ruin the world but I like the idea of two guys combating the evil affects that porn can have on people.  There is no doubt in my mind that there are people out there who are addicted to pornography and it has destroyed their lives.  I believe there are children out there that are for one reason or another subjected to porn at a young age which can cause emotional distress.  I like the concept of the xxxchurch site and it should excite the church as well.  

As far as porn officially affecting people, there really is no way to deny that porn affects people.  The question is to what extent does porn affect people and in what ways.  Is porn ruining the world or is porn saving the world?  If people were not masturbating how many more rapes and sex crimes would there be in the world?  There is no way to measure these figures but one would assume that porn has its ups and downs.  You can not deny the positive affects o porn such as education.  At the same time you can not deny the negative affects of porn such as rape and chronic masturbation. 

At the end of the day we need to decide if porn is worth all the debating.  We certainly can not ignore the porn industry but I do not believe we need to as concerned as some people.  The porn industry will not go away so why waste time trying to destroy it.  We need to work with the porn industry to make porn safer.  Determining porn’s positive and negative affects is a difficult task.  Just remember that masturbating never killed anyone, never got anyone pregnant and it never raped anyone.  

How do you measure whether porn is causing men and women to be violent towards others?  I really do not think that there is a solid test for this vague study.  The question is a good one and it requires analysis.  I feel like most studies done on this topic would be biased as well as inconclusive.  

If I watch violent porn I can not picture myself beating my girlfriend or going out and raping someone.  I hate to bring it up again but I feel as though the individual’s moral fiber plays a much larger role in their behavior than what porn they just finished beating off to.  A proper upbringing embeds into a Childs psyche that hitting girls at all is unacceptable and furthermore raping and or beating them is out of the question.  The individual who is raised poorly will surely be more likely to rape someone.  Those who lack moral fiber will surely be more likely to rape someone after the idea is introduced to them through pornography.  Someone who lacks the knowledge and understanding that most of us are lucky enough to have will be highly influenced by pornography.  If the individual views a porn with rape involved they may see it as acceptable due to the fact that they do not know any better to a certain extent.  Most people are born with a certain awareness of right and wrong some people just exercise that awareness and allow for it to grow.  The people who commit rapes are those who were never given the information to feed a growing mind which leads to a warped sense of right and wrong.  

I believe that violent porn can have its place on the shelf but with certain limitations.  The fact is that we have sick people in this world and some of them need to be sheltered from such material.  Pornography in and of itself is not evil.  Guns do not kill people, people do.  The same goes for porn; porn does not rape people, people do.  With that said I still believe that there needs to be some greater restrictions placed on the pornography industry regarding content.   

Child porn is a sticky subject, no pun intended.  It is obvious that any form of child pornography should be illegal.  It is rather straight forward that viewing, participating, having knowledge of child porn is illegal.  I think we can all agree that who ever these people are that search and produce child porn are disgusting immoral beings.  The question is how did these people become this way.  Where did they get the idea that sexually abusing a child or viewing a child being abused is acceptable?  How do people get off on watching children being abused?  

I do not agree that porn is a gateway drug into illegal pornography.  I can agree that an individual may in fact become more explorative after viewing porn for several years.  I feel as though a responsible viewer of porn is more than capable of controlling themselves when it comes to the content of their porn.  People do become desensitized to a certain extent in many realms of their lives including their pornography.  Soft core porn leads people to hardcore porn and so on.  What stops most people from ever considering child porn as an option?  More than likely it is the same thing that stops people from smoking, or drinking.  It is probably the same thing that stops a marijuana smoker from venturing into the world of cocaine or heroine.  The knowledge and moral fiber that an individual acquires throughout their life leads them to understand right from wrong.  Pot might be illegal but it won’t kill you and most people get away with smoking it from time to time, not to mention it makes you feel pretty good.  What is it that keeps child porn from even entering a pornography viewing individuals mind?  It is perhaps general knowledge and a good sense of right from wrong?  Could it be that most people understand the difference between erotic and absolutely disgusting?  

As for the scum who try and blame rape on porn or their collection of child porn on regular porn, I have no respect for them.  Do not dare try and blame your sick mind on porn.  Porn did not make you rape that girl.  The fact that your parents raised you like a farm animal made you rape that girl.  Do not dare try and blame your collection of child porn on your porn addiction.  I do not care if you have been a "pornaholic" for your whole life nothing can possibly explain why you would have child porn all over your room.  The only reason you look at child porn is because you’re a wack job.  Maybe your porn addiction strung you along for the ride to child porn but at the end of the day it is you my friend who gets off to little children being abused.  

I hate to be so negative but come on people.  I am sick and tired of people trying to blame all of their life’s problems on someone or something else.  Unless you got run over by a drunk driver and you are now bound to a wheelchair you have no one to blame for your behavior except for yourself.       

They are everywhere you look, the 12 year old dressed like a 20 year old prostitute. Sometimes you might catch yourself giving her a second glance and then quickly resort to vomiting once you realize she is 12.  I know why these girls dress like this but I do not know why their parents allow them to.

People demand attention, especially young children. I feel as though they are begging for attention. I believe that these children are largely ignored by their parents. The lack of attention leads to a louder yell for help. The attention they get from older boys at school or in the neighborhood boosts the much needed self esteem that they lack.  The majority of these girls who dress in this fashion are screaming for attention.

I blame poor parenting. I know the parents take a lot of blame for the majority of their children’s issues but I feel like they should be taking all of the blame. Let's stop blaming the media, stop blaming the magazines, and stop blaming MTV.  If you want, as a parent, you can deprive your child from all of these devilish things. Depriving your children from the real world is not the answer. Proper parenting can allow for your children to watch television as they please with mild censorship of course. Saying no is important for a parent and I feel like no one understands that. I would never let my 12 year old daughter wear make up or wear something scandalous.

The Medias affect can not be ignored but it can be controlled. The media only displays images and information none of which is mandatory.  Parents need to do a better job of controlling what images their children consume.

Remember this when you become a parent. Be smart, say no and God bless.

I agree and disagree with you on this topic. I think you make an excellent point when you compare pornography to drug use. The fact is that a lot of people just smoke pot and never venture into the harder drugs. The other point that you made was why there is hardcore/violent porn in the first place if we know that it plants a seed in the mind of the criminally insane.

Why are there violent movies on the market? Why is a movie like “Rambo” legal if it depicts something like 65 people being shot throughout the movie? Why are movies like “Amityville Horror” legal? Did that movie give some crazy lunatic the idea that he should sleep in his basement and eventually kill his family? It is very possible but not very likely. Why are movies like “Apocalypse Now” (1979) legal? That movie was a bit disturbing even for me and I am not fazed by much. Why are there violent video games on the market? Ok, I think we all get the point. Just because the violence and sex mix together in some of these violent sex movies does not make them any worse than any other violent action film.

This is America the land of the free and we have come to expect certain freedoms. One of those freedoms is the right to watch whatever we please. A movie is often fake, as in actors are not killed during a movie; special affects make us think they are dead. If the special affects in a movie are so fantastic that they appear 100% real should that be illegal? Absolutely not! In fact good job movie makers because it was probably a great movie.

There can be a problem in violent films as well as in violent pornography films. The problem is when acting is not acting anymore. When people are actually being shot, stabbed, rapped, and injured in anyway. The fact is that there are sick people in this world that produce “real” movies with “real” injuries and “real” rape scenes. These films clearly are not guaranteed this freedom by the constitution. These films are illegal and are a huge problem. I am not sure what percentage these “real” films make up in the overall scheme of things but I imagine it to be very small. That does not mean that it should be ignored by any means. I think anyone producing such a film whether it is porn or not should be arrested. Now there are exceptions to the rule obviously. I think we all know what deems a “real” film illegal or legal.

I think that the people producing films depicting violent sex acts are not committing any crime. In fact I believe they are offering a service to many Americans who enjoy violent sex. It is however important to keep a close eye on these types of films as to ensure they are not crossing the line between acting and reality.

It is up to the individual who is from birth given the knowledge of right and wrong to make healthy, rational decisions. If you watch a rape scene in a movie, you should understand that it does not mean you should go rape someone. If you have seen “Derailed” with Jennifer Anniston there is a pretty intense rape scene involving a man with a gun. It looked pretty convincing to me. It was acting and I know that and you know that. It is not our fault that there are disgusting and insane people in this world who act on what they see in films.

We should not censor violent acts from all Americans when it is only a handful of irresponsible, irrational, insane, criminal individuals who cause all the problems. Yes, viewing something certainly puts the image in your head but we need to understand acting from reality and most of us do. We have violent pornography available because people enjoy it. So let them enjoy their violent porn and I will go and enjoy my violent movies.

We the people of this great country need to decide once and for all what is legal and what is illegal.  The internet makes it difficult to put a stop to indecent porn like child and bestiality.  Pressure needs to be applied to porn giants so that they in turn will put pressure on the indecent porn companies that are flourishing in the giant market of porn.  If there is a fetish there is a porno

.  At some point these obscene porno niches will be put to rest.  I think it is nearly impossible to shut down obscene porn all together.  Offering rewards and incentives to those in the industry performing according to certain standards will increase legal porn and decrease the illegal porn industry.  

Computers and the internet are a huge problem.  As we discussed in class porn spam causes all kinds of problems in the industry.  A child that opens an email and views something sexually graphic is affected for life.  In that instance porn does cause harm.  I look at companies like Microsoft to solve these problems of internet security for our children.  There is software out there that filters content on the computer but much of it is not standard.  The current software does not go far enough in ensuring that children never come across obscene material on the internet.  Are parents to blame?  My parents have no clue how to use a computer let alone set up filtering software to have prevented my brother and me from viewing porn on the computer.  Purchasing a computer and hooking it up to the internet invites all of parent’s worst fears into the living room at the touch of a button.  Many parents fail to realize the dangers of the internet.  When purchasing a computer I feel as though you should be at least 18 years of age and you must also be given specific instructions on how to set up filter software and how to protect you and your family. 

Pornography can be safe and it can be harmful.  In the proper hands those of the industry and the customer’s pornography is a completely acceptable means of entertainment and titillation.  Every human being deserves that right.  The leaders of the industry must make a change before they ruin for the future of the business.  Everyone is too concerned with making millions today when they should be worried about making billions tomorrow.
