Adults playing Children in Porn

Is this legal?  Fantastic question, one in which I honestly can not come to a solid conclusion. Should it be legal for an 18 year old to act as if she is much younger than 18 in pornography.  Is this a form of child porn?  Is this a great and safe way for pedophiles to get their fix?  Is this harming anyone?

I find it difficult to believe that this type of porn harms anyone more so than any other type of pornography?  An 18 year old is legal to perform in porn and should be allowed to act like a 12 year old if he/she sees fit.  I feel better knowing that some pedophile is masturbating to an 18 year old rather than an actual 12 year old.  I also feel better knowing that a pedophile is getting his "fix" for child porn rather than prowling through the neighborhood for young boys and girls.

Does this type of porn lead a pedophile to demand more realistic exposure which could potentially lead to actual child porn or abuse?  That is the difficult question here, one in which I can not answer.  Is there any evidence that says fake child porn leads to child abuse or real child porn?  I feel as though many pedophiles might be satisfied with fake child porn and many would never consider child abuse or real child porn.  I think it takes an extremely sick minded individual to indulge in child porn and the sexual abuse of a young child.  I do not think that fake child porn increases the number of these extremely sick minded people.  I feel as though the true pedophiles are never satisfied with their thirst for young children.  I also feel that fake child porn can possibly quench the thirst of many pedophiles therefore decreasing child porn and the sexual abuse of children.

The fact that there is no evidence that states whether or not the viewing of fake child porn increasing real child porn and/or sexual abuse of children leads me to believe that it should be legal.  Just like any other pornography fake child porn needs to have its limits. I find the concept of fake child porn to be repulsive and disgusting but at the same time I can not say that it should be illegal.  There are a lot of disgusting things in this world and fake child porn does not even make the top 100 in my eyes.  

Let us worry more about parenting skills and ensuring the safety of our children rather than picking apart the porn industry.  I feel as though proper parenting can create normal children thus eliminating pedophiles.  What about the children whose parents are pedophiles?  The United States Education system needs to do a better job of teaching children what is inappropriate.  When little Sally gets touched by her father she needs to have an understanding through education that it is inappropriate and she needs to tell someone.  Easier said than done I know, but it is certainly a start.  How does a child learn that their father’s behavior is wrong and inappropriate?  Abuse can go on for several years before a child speaks out against their parent or guardian.  

The future remains to be seen but one thing is certain, it is up to you and I to raise the next generation of American children.  I for one plan on doing a great job.  I for one plan on educating my children about all the dangers this world have absorbed.  For too long our children have been uneducated about simple things.  Teaching children that when their mommy touches them inappropriately is certainly a difficult task but I am confident that it can and will be done.
